Calypso Classic was imported from Germany as a 3yo colt by Dr's Graham & Barbara Burrows to enhance the Warmblood lines here in Australia. He gained his AWHA classification as a 4yo and combines the two most important bloodlines from both the Hanoverian and Holstein stud books. He is by Calypso II who is by Cor de la Bryere.
He has produced some wonderful progeny including Glennis Barrey's Grand Prix horse Classico II (pictured below)
Calypso Classic is well known for passing on his desirable temperament into his offspring. We've refined our broodmare bloodlines to capture this well. And with the Calypso line, showjumping is in the blood too.
Prince Noir was imported from Germany just after Calypso Classic to again, value add to the Australian Warmblood gene pool. He is registered Hanoverian Warmblood. He has produced some wonderful progeny and continues to be extremely popular as he tends to stamp his flashy paces into all of his offspring. You will see that many many studs in Australia will have broodmares with the Prince Noir bloodlines.
Silverdene Cassandra compliments our breeding program. She is by Calypso Classic and the last 3 years has produced some wonderful foals for us all by Prince Noir. She has this year off.
Description - Plato is easy to catch, trim and handle in every way and he is unflappable.
He is currently being broken in at 3yo, will be lightly ridden and then will be turned out to grow more.
Plato is blessed with not only extravagant movement, but distinguishable. He is different moving to most of the horses we have bred. He just lifts his legs effortlessly and with such poise. That's why in the Hunter Ring he'll be a winner in hands down.
His YouTube video does him no justice whatsoever unfortunately. We will be getting more footage in the coming weeks.
He has a naturally uphill carriage, showing a positive ability for high level dressage and even showing. Added with his powerful ground covering movement. His work ethic is so honest and typical of all the Silverdene bred horses. That is what we pride ourselves on........
